You understand by viewing this website you will be introduced to two innovative energy-based coaching and self-help acupoint tapping techniques called Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and Thought Field Therapy – Algorithms (collectively the “Tapping Techniques”). The Tapping Techniques seek to address imbalances within a person’s energy system, as well as the energetic influence of thoughts, beliefs, and emotions on the body/mind. The theoretical basis of the Tapping Techniques is that negative emotions are associated with a disruption in the body’s energy system. It is believed that the Tapping Techniques can help restore the flow and balance of the body’s electromagnetic and more subtle energies. The Tapping Techniques are based on ancient Chinese acupuncture. They are believed to balance an individual’s energy system with a gentle tapping procedure which stimulates designated meridian end points on the face and body while saying specific phrases and/or focusing on issues of emotional intensity in order to release the intensity and reframe the issues. The prevailing premise of the Tapping Techniques is that the flow and balance of the body’s electromagnetic and more subtle energies are important for physical, mental, emotional health, and spiritual health, and for fostering well-being.

Although the Tapping Techniques appear to have promising health benefits and there is a growing amount of valid scientific research indicating that they meet the criteria to be considered evidence-based techniques, they have yet to be fully accepted by the mainstream Western academic, medical, and psychological communities. Consequently, the Tapping Techniques are currently not officially identified as evidence-based techniques and may be considered experimental. Due to their experimental nature the extent of their effectiveness, as well as their risk and benefits, are not fully known.

The Tapping Techniques are self-regulated and no state in the United States licenses practitioners of the Tapping Techniques and considers them to be a complementary and alternative approach to health and wellness. While Ange Finn is an experienced coach, EFT International Accredited Certified Advanced EFT Practitioner, and holds a Master of Science degree in Integrative Health and Wellness, she is not a psychologist, psychotherapist, physician or other licensed health care practitioner and does not provide psychological or medical advice, diagnosis or treatments in her sessions.

Ange Finn strongly advises that you seek professional advice as appropriate before making any health decision.
