Journaling For Wholeness

My friend and colleague Jade Barbee, AAMET-certified EFT Practitioner, Trainer and co-editor/co-founder of EFTFree.net, has just come out with a new tool for exploring EFT.

It's the EFT Workbook, and it's a little like a journal process combined with an in-depth EFT session.  Through writing down the answers to a series of questions, and tapping on what you discover about your thoughts and beliefs, you can make progress in releasing the emotions, beliefs and stresses that are holding you back--that perhaps have not responded to other techniques or to your usual way of doing EFT.

Jade says "A little over seven months ago, I had an idea to share what was beginning to be an important daily practice for me - a gentle "following the trail" exercise with EFT that had become a morning ritual."  By building on a session he had that changed the way he looked at using EFT, Jade has created a process that will help you feel better and explore complex issues.

As an avid journaler, I've used Jade's process and found it very focusing and helpful.  In regular journaling I write down what's bothering me and then feel better, at least a little.  With the Workbook, I take the next steps, tap on it and actually release it.

In addition to the e-book you receive a companion audio program and a subscription to Introductory Workbook Teleclasses.   Check it out and see if it's for you!

Is Your Vision 20/20?

I will be participating in the 2012 Metaphysical Healing Expo this coming weekend, hosting a lunch table to talk about all the practical uses for EFT in your everyday life.  The Expo is full of presentations on many different aspects of complementary, alternative and integrative methods and therapies; if you like to explore new ideas, this is the place for you.

I'll be there for both days, and will have an Expo special for those in attendance:  my 20/20 special, a 20 minute session for $20.  It will be a chance to work on light or medium-weight issues for yourself, or simply experience tapping and the stress relief it can bring.

Of course, the 20/20 is a cute way to advertise my special, but it's also a very apt description of what EFT can do for us.  When we're under stress or have anxiety, our "vision"--that is, our focus and clarity about our lives--often becomes clouded, fuzzy, too narrow or too broad.  We become short-sighted, or too far-sighted for our own good.   EFT clears the physical stress and anxieties that keep us from seeing clearly.

And if you're not to sure about this word "metaphysical", let me describe EFT for you in more technical terms:  it's a somatic + cognitive modality that downregulates the autonomic nervous system and facilitates cognitive shifts.  It very simply evokes the Relaxation Response in the brain and body, and allows us to think and function more clearly.

Come see for yourself...I mean really see, 20/20!
